Research Opportunities

Undergraduate Students interested in conducting independent research are encouraged to contact me by email or to come to the lab. You should also check out the opportunities provided by the Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP).

Prospective Graduate Students are encouraged to contact me inquiring about openings in the lab. Please read the information in the website to see if your interests match our research priorities. If that is the case please mail or email me a letter outlining your research interests and experience. Please also provide a copy of your CV, GPA and and GRE scores (if available). Check the EEB website for information on application deadlines and requirements. The IGERT program in genomics at the University of Arizona provides generous 2-year fellowships to incoming students, and great training in evolutionary genomics and bioinformatics.

Postdoctoral Fellows: I do not have funded positions available at this time. However you are encouraged to contact me inquiring about funding status. Additionally, if you are a US citizen or permanent resident you can also apply to the PERT postdoctoral fellowship administered by the Center for Insect Science. If you are interested in being a PERT postdoc in my lab you are encouraged to contact me to identify a suitable research project to be included in your application.
