RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am generally interested in understanding the processes that produce DNA sequence differences within and between species. The historical data available for domesticated species provides a great deal more information than is available for wild species on demographic history and selection pressures. For this reason I plan to focus my research on understanding the basis for genetic changes observed in domesticates in order to gain insight into the evolution of wild species.
