Meadow-warming experiment at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Colorado to investigate ecologically-mediated carbon-cycle feedbacks to climate (Saleska et al, 1999 view pdf; Saleska et al., 2002 view pdf). Here, the effects of heaters on accelerating spring snowmelt can be clearly seen.
