I am a plant ecologist interested in how species’ traits interact with the environment to affect fitness and how those patterns influence population and community dynamics.  In my research, I use a combination of ecophysiology and demography to understand ecological processes such as life history evolution, population dynamics, and the maintenance of diversity in communities.
