Awards & Recognition

Outstanding Senior
The Outstanding Senior award is given to a graduating senior who excels in her/his studies (as evidenced by having a GPA of 3.5 or higher), is involved in research, and is also recognized as a leader within the campus or the larger community.  The balance between these different aspects may vary, but every nominee is expected to be strong in all three.

Excellence in Undergraduate Research
The Excellence in Undergraduate Research award is given to a graduating senior who has shown outstanding achievement in independent undergraduate research. The student’s work should show originality, creativity, and a level of independence appropriate to the discipline.
