GLEN W., VANICE, AND KEITH G. REID AWARD FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN BIOMEDICAL FIELDS


Source/Purpose: The endowment for the Reid Award was established from the Vanice Reid Trust to assist undergraduate, graduate and professional students pursuing medical careers and conducting research in several areas of Mrs. Reid’s interest.

Value: $1,000/yr. (Renewable by re-application). Number of awards varies.

Cycle: Annual.

Criteria: See award application form (Word document).

Eligibility: This research award is made annually to non-immigrant US citizens to support students conducting research in the field(s) of alcoholism, macular degeneration of the eye, cancer, human nutrition or allergies. Undergraduate and graduate students may apply for consideration of this award through the College of Science. All candidates must be excelling academically and making timely progress towards their degree.

Selection Process: Application form and all required attachments will be forwarded to the College of Science Scholarship Committee.

Notification: All applicants will be notified of outcome by early May.
