Like all websites, the EEB website evolves over time. Updates and redesigns are done to improve the usability, content, and appearance of the site. There is no set schedule for upgrades, but minor changes usually take place several times a semester.

EEB Website Mission:
The EEB website provides online information about EEB people, teaching, research, and outreach. The website facilitates communication and collegiality within the Department, attracts new students and researchers, and provides a dynamic medium for informing the world at large about EEB.

How does the EEB website contribute to the mission of the EEB Department?
The EEB website contributes to the Department’s “mission of discovery” by acting as a vital information source and support system for the Department. The website is also the online “face” of the Department, and communicates who we are and what we do to the worldwide online community.

EEB Website: Specific Aims and Goals

Teaching: content is targeted to current and prospective students

provides quick easy access to course / class / degree program info

students can easily contact teachers and TAs

students can easily look up info on funding and employment opportunities

Research promotes research collaboration within EEB, and between EEB and other departments at UA

helps attract and recruit new grad students, new undergrads, postdocs, and faculty

informs the world at large about EEB research

 

Outreach communicates about our research and teaching to Tucson and the online community at large

facilitates the use of existing outreach programs

 

Overall acts as a gateway to research and instructional materials

promotes the EEB department and its teaching, research and outreach activities

increases knowledge of and attendance at EEB functions (seminars, social occasions)
